The Olympic Dam Aboriginal Community Trust (the Trust) was established as part of an agreement between BHP and the Barngarla, Kokatha and Kuyani Aboriginal groups regarding the proposed expansion of Olympic Dam.

The Trust is a “Charitable Trust’ which means funds can only ever be applied for a specific list of charitable purposes.

The Trust has been endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a tax-exempt Trust which means the Trust does not pay income tax provided the funds are always used for a charitable purpose.
