The NAIDOC Ball and Awards night

Umeewarra Media hosted the NAIDOC Ball and Awards night and it was a huge success with 200 people attending this formal event.

There was a 3 course meal provided by Taoundi College that exceeded all of our expectations.

The night started with the Awards interspersed with singing from the very talented local Elaine Crombie.  The awards are an opportunity for the community to celebrate the achievements and huge contribution local Aboriginal people make to our community.

After the formal part of the evening our guests were able to dance the night away to the CASM Soul Band, who include some local talent in their line up.

It was a very successful night enjoyed by all in attendance and we have had only positive feedback about the event.

We of course could not do events like this if it wasn’t for our sponsors so we would like to thank the Olympic Dam Aboriginal Community Trust for your funds to assist in the facilitation of this very important event in the NAIDOC Calendar.
